In an environment where the boundary between the public and private sectors is becoming increasingly blurred, Ydès has chosen to develop this complementary expertise in response to the growing need for public and private actors to master the legal issues related to public action, public procurement, state property, and regulation.
Following the arrival of Jean-Philippe Carpentier and Anne-Sophie Cantrel at the beginning of the year, we are pleased to announce that Thomas Laffargue joined our Paris office as a partner on May 22.
A member of the Paris Bar with over 20 years of experience, Thomas Laffargue advises public and private clients, mainly in the transport and energy sectors. He works on contractual issues (drafting, awarding, negotiating, and monitoring public contracts) and regulatory matters, both in an advisory capacity and in litigation.
He advises major public and private groups, national public institutions, local authorities, local public companies, airports, and regional ports.
His approach is distinguished by a cross-functional and proactive vision. Responsive and available, he is recognized for his pragmatic analysis of cases.
Thomas says he is “very happy to join the Ydès adventure and to actively participate in the firm’s growth through his expertise and experience. ”
His arrival enables Ydès to structure a comprehensive business law offering, in synergy with its existing expertise. With this dual expertise in public and private business law, the firm is strengthening its ability to support its clients in all their legal challenges, whether in the public or private sector.
