Ydès is pleased to announce the arrival of Claire Lauria, a lawyer with recognised expertise in data protection, digital health and life sciences. She joins the firm as Of Counsel within the Digital Economy & Data Department, where she will lead and develop the Life Sciences practice.
Admitted to the Lyon Bar, Claire Lauria has a well‑established expertise in advising stakeholders in the healthcare sector.
For more than ten years, she has been involved in all key issues affecting the industry, including medical devices, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, food supplements, clinical research, biological samples, health data, as well as relationships between manufacturers and healthcare professionals.
Her initial experience within the legal department of a health and medico‑social insurance mutual enabled her to develop a strong operational understanding of the sector’s challenges.
She then joined the Life Sciences Department of DELSOL Avocats in 2015, followed by Life Avocats in 2021, where she further strengthened a highly sought‑after dual expertise in healthcare products regulation and data protection.
Her arrival enables Ydès to structure and clearly position a dedicated Life Sciences practice at the crossroads of healthcare law, digital regulation and innovation. Integrated within the Digital Economy & Data Department, now comprising seven experienced lawyers, she contributes to expanding the firm’s scope of services and strengthening its positioning among life sciences players.
The team is thus able to offer healthcare companies and related organisations comprehensive legal support, combining personal data compliance, intellectual property, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity and the regulatory framework applicable to health products and services.
According to Claire Lauria:
“Joining Ydès means becoming part of a firm recognised for the breadth of its expertise, where synergies between practices allow matters to be handled with a global and pragmatic approach. I am delighted to contribute to the development of the Life Sciences practice within the Digital Economy & Data Department and to support industry players in their strategic and regulatory challenges.”
By joining Ydès, Claire plays a key role in the firm’s growth and contributes to the development of the department and its Life Sciences practice.
